We are looking for Healthcare Compliance Specialist to help direct our internal auditing procedures. We'll rely on you to ensure that our billing operations meet industry standards. Our Healthcare Compliance Specialist must be meticulous and analytical, with deep knowledge of auditing practices. We expect you to be reliable, with strong organizational skills, as well as expertise in risk management and compliance.

The Healthcare Compliance Specialist ensures the timely and accurate billing of ambulance transports, monitors and analyzes portal/system issues and trends, and promotes operational excellence within the global billing operations group.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Regularly develops goals and objectives for billing teams and measures performance. 
  • Measures and monitors company-wide performance and prepares reports, charts, graphs or other information relative to operational effectiveness.
  • Maintains and manages numerous daily and monthly reports needed to ensure high quality, real-time compliance practices.
  • Continually reviews staffing levels and makes recommendations to leadership as appropriate to ensure timely processing of all assigned work.
  • Develops and monitors reporting tools to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), (e.g. Status of trip inventory, authorizations captured/pending, PCS and Signature compliance).
  • Partners with the Operations to resolve issues surrounding unbilled claims, authorizations, Physician Certification Statements (PCSs), Patient Care Reports (PCRs), and insurance, and demographic capture issues. 
  • Responsible for escalating concerns regarding questionable paperwork to appropriate management.
  • Completes all required Compliance Training within the required time period.
  • Ensures all audits are conducted timely.
  • And other tasks as assigned.


  • Proven experience as an auditor
  • In-depth understanding of auditing and control practices
  • Updated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and billing software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Integrity and reliability
